Getting here
By rail
Brixen is located on the mainline Munich - Innsbruck - Bolzano/Bozen - Verona and all trains stop here. EC trains alternate with regional trains and generally both run at two hour intervals. From the railway station you can continue to Novacella (Neustift):
- by taxi to Kloster Neustift.
- by Citybus, no. 2 and 3 to the stop ‘Kloster Neustift’.
- by regional bus (SAD) in the direction of Bruneck to the stop ‘Neustift/Hotel Pacher’, from there approx. 5 min. on foot to Kloster Neustift
By car
Take the Brenner motorway (A22 in Italy) from the north or south as far as the
exit ‘Brixen/Pustertal’. Novacella/Neustift is signposted is signposted from there (brown signs). Turn right in the direction of Vahrn, approx. 3 km. Keep to the main road downhill through the village.
Turn left at the Hotel Löwenhof in the direction of Abbazia Novacella (Neustift). The monastery is a further 1 km; park just past the River Eisack bridge.
By air
The nearest airports are
Bolzano/Bozen and Innsbruck (B.A., EasyJet). The airports Munich and Verona (or Verona/Brescia served by Ryanair) are somewhat farther and less convenient. There are regular rail services from Verona, Munich and Innsbruck.
