A temporary home

Neustift Abbey’s school boarding house: everything under one roof

Our dormitory can take 90 secondary school students. And because there’s a branch of the ‘Oswald von Wolkenstein’ middle school in Brixen/Bressanone at the abbey, its students don’t even have to leave the house to get to class.

At home together

Our boarding house functions as a temporary home. Here the boys are looked after by a professional support team.

Modern, group-oriented learning

It’s easier to learn with others. And even easier with modern rooms, digital technology and educators to help.

Nothing boring here

Something for everyone in the huge variety of sport, creative, musical and religious options on offer. All of them the opposite of boring.

Neustift Abbey’s boarding house provides ample scope for social life, creativity, exercise and joint learning for students of all ages. While the younger age groups (11-14) have classes at the abbey, the older boys go to schools in Brixen. Education has been an integral part of the abbey’s work since it was founded almost 900 years ago. Neustift is bound by this tradition and every student here is consequently also taken seriously as an individual with his individual abilities, strengths and weaknesses, to give him the opportunity to develop and to establish his personality.
