Founded in 1142, Neustift/Novacella soon developed into a significant spiritual and cultural center with an influence reaching far beyond the country’s borders. Today, the Monastery is a popular destination for young and old, who can enjoy the Baroque Abbey Church that is suffused with light, tour the Abbey Library, and learn about Novacella’s history.
