Since it was founded, the Augustinian Canons’ Monastery of Novacella has been a place of spiritual and communal life. Within the community, canons experience a feeling of security and support. Communal life is a way to be able to better perform the service as a priest for the church.

In the spirit of the founder and donors, as well as the many people who have equipped the Abbey with assets, the canons today continue to praise God, working as priests and pastors, caring for youths at the dormitory, dedicating themselves to scholarship in research and teaching, caring for their comprehensive archive and the historical library, striving for continuity and timeliness – not least, at the Education Center.
