The Brixen Water Light Festival powered by durst celebrates this year its fourth edition and takes place from 8th to 31st May 2020 in Brixen/ South Tyrol. On the fourth edition, the festival is extended with installations also in Fortezza/Franzensfeste, Chiusa/Klausen and Novacella/Neustift. Local as well as international artists will transform the water sites of Bressanone/Brixen and surrounding area into a unique light ocean through creative ideas and different light installations. Reflections on ecological, economic and social aspects related to water are the basis of all artistic considerations.

The installations in Novacella/Neustift can be visited in the Castel Sant’Angelo. More than 20 fountains, the impressive confluence of the two rivers Isarco/Eisack and Rienza/Rienz and other numerous historic and cultural treasures were set in scene with different light and artwork installations. Under the motto “Water is life – light is art”, a unique atmosphere is created in the different places which enables a completely new perception of the water locations.

The Castel Sant’Angelo is opened during the day from 8th to 31st may 2020. The artistic artworks in Bresssanone, Fortezza and Chiusa can be visited daily from 21 to 24 pm.
