Groups of 10 persons
or more (travel groups, school classes, student groups) are kindly asked to send the request for a guided tour in advance so that an orderly process can be guaranteed. Please present yourself at the ticket counter (inner courtyard) 15 minutes before your tour starts.

A tour of the Abbey Basilica, Museum and Library will provide insights into the exciting history of the Augustinian Canons’ Monastery that is more than 875 years old, and active to this very day. The historical and still well-maintained monastery garden with tree garden, herb garden and baroque garden can be visited in form of a garden tour. A guided tour of the vineyard with a wine tasting can be booked all year round.

General visitor informations

Dogs and all other animals are not permitted in the museum as well as in the cloister and in the garden.

Taking pictures without flashlight is permitted.

The museum and the cloister are not barrier-free. People with physical disabilities (walking disabilities) can only visit the church and the library. We kindly ask you to inform us when making your request and reservation. A wheelchair friendly visit is only possible by booking a guided tour.

All visitors have access to free parking at the entrance of the Monastery. There is also a  free parking lot for buses. Please note: from the entrance to the porter’s lodge in the inner courtyard of the monastery it is a 10-minute walk.
